September 13th - Indoor Summer! 

Join us for our iConnect kickoff event as we cling to the best parts of summer... indoors! Bring a friend... sunscreen is optional!

September 20th - Alive Night 

Join us for games, snack, worship with the youth, and a devotional. This year our devo topics will focus on making good choices as preteens, and we will be discussing how to do this when it comes to peer pressure, family life, social media, and more!

September 27th - iConnect Olympics 

One of our favourite events! Bring a friend and work in teams to compete against your opponents. This is always a great way to make new friends at iConnect!

October 4th  - Birthday Party Night! 

Come celebrate everyone’s birthday all in one big party!

October 11th - Alive Night! 

Join us for games, discussion and of course, snacks.

October 18th - Master Chef

Work in small groups to figure out how to make a recipe... without the recipe!

October 25th - Alive Night!  

Lots of games, snacks, and good times together.

November 1st - Costume Party!  

No need to pack up your Halloween costume just yet! Join us for a great night of games, candy and prizes!

November 8th - Alive Night
Join us for games, discussion and of course, snacks.

November 15th - No Event  

We are setting up for the CLUE game for tomorrow night!!

November 16th (Saturday) - CLUE 2019! - Trapped in Time!

This is our biggest event ever! Grade 6-12 students compete in teams to gather clues and solve the mystery. Look for more information about registration on our website later in September!

November 22nd  - Alive! 

Lots of games, snacks, and good times together.

November 29th  - Christmas Party!!

Wear your pyjamas or ugly sweater and join us for all the reindeer games!

We are done until our return on January 10th! Watch for our Winter Event Calendar in the mail over Christmas break! :)

September 13th - Master Chef Bethany

Bring your friends and kick off the 2019-2020 Year at Bethany Student Ministries at our 2nd Annual  Master Chef Bethany! You will receive a Mystery Box with ingredients in it, and you and your team must make something with all the contents - no recipe included!

September 20th - ALIVE!

Come for games, worship music, a talk. Concession will be open from 6:45-7:10. Proceeds and/or donations go towards our Compassion Canada Child, Mukire.

September 27th - 604 Network

A gathering of local youth groups that exist to unify and empower youth in their local context through worshipping God and connecting with one another. 

If you need a ride, meet at the church so we can leave by 6:30 pm. 

Otherwise, meet at The Tapestry Church at 7:00 pm (9280 No 2 Rd, Richmond). 

This event ends at 9:00 pm, and we will be back at Bethany by 9:30 pm for parents to take you home. 

October 4th - Dead Cat 2

Have you ever been on an adventure with aliens, bunnies, unicorns, spaceships, clowns and hundreds of cat puns? If not, come and play Dead Cat 2 - The cat is back and on catnip! Its fate is up to you!!

October 11th - ALIVE! 

Come for games, worship music, a talk. Concession will be open from 6:45-7:10. Proceeds and/or donations go towards our Compassion Canada Child, Mukire.

October 18th - 604 Network Serves

We will join with the rest of the 604 from Richmond as we serve our community by gathering items for those in need and making care packages. 

This was a huge success last year, and tons of fun! Location TBA.

October 25th - ALIVE!

Games, worship music, friends and faith-building. 

November 1st - COSTUME PARTY! 

Don’t put away your Halloween costume yet! 

Come for a night of games, candy and prizes!

November 8th -  Alive!

It’s our favourite night! Come join us! 

November 15th -No Event

There is no Friday event this week because we

 are setting up for CLUE tomorrow night!

November 16th (Saturday) – CLUE!! - “Trapped in Time” 

Join us for our biggest event ever! This is an

 outreach event so invite all your friends! Grade

 6-12 students compete in teams to gather clues

Nov 29th/30th - Bob Ross Christmas Party & Sleepover

Who doesn’t love Bob Ross & Christmas? This year we are putting them together!! Happy Trees & all your Christmas sleepover fav’s. Breakfast will be provided. Ends at 10:00 am, Nov 30th.

Friday, June 28 – Summer Kickoff at Castle Fun Park!  For Youth only.
10 am to 3 pm. Meet in front of the Church Office. Admission is $20.Kick off summer with a trip to Castle Fun Park! You pay admission, we’ll pay for lunch!

Tuesday, July 2 – Games Night & Ice Cream Sundaes!  For iConnect & Youth.
7 pm to 9 pm in the Youth Room.  Bring a friend and let’s play some games! Board games and video games, and Ice Cream Sundaes to top it off!

VBS Crossover Week - July 8 to 12. Starting at 12:30 pm in the Youth Room

Crossover begins each day right after VBS is done, but is a separate program. It runs until 3:00 pm each day (except beach day, which is until 5pm). This program is open to those who attend or volunteer for VBS and also for those who don't! As long as you are going into Grades 6-9, you are welcome to join us.  Students who attend Bethany and are going into Grades 10-12 can register as teen volunteers for Crossover events. We will occasionally be calling on your assistance throughout the afternoons as we will just need extra hands! We may ask you to help with food preparation, preparing game supplies, etc.

Tuesday, July 16 – Games Night - 7 pm to 9 pm  For iConnect & Youth.
Bring a friend and join us in the youth room playing a variety of Board games and Video games

Thursday, July 18 – Playland!  For Youth only.

10:30 am to 5:00 pm. Meet in front of the church Office. Admission is $33.

We’re spending the day a Playland! Bring a bagged lunch or additional $$ to buy lunch.

Wednesday, July 24 – Theatres: The Lion King!  For Youth only.

Time TBA. Meet at Church office or at designated Movie Theatre. Admission is cost of ticket. The classic Lion King is coming out in a live-action film, let’s see if it is as good as the original!

Thursday or Friday, July 25 – Foodie Night!  For Youth only.

4:30 pm to 9:00 pm in the Youth Room.  Homemade food is the best, right? Come make your own dinner and dessert, then hang out playing board games afterwards!

Monday, July 29 – Hike & Swim at Buntzen Lake!   For Youth only.

9:30 am to 4:00 pm. Meet in front of the Church Office.  Let’s go for a 10 km hike around Buntzen Lake then cool down with a swim in the lake! Pack a lunch.

Thursday, August 8 – Games Night - 7 pm to 9:30 pm    For iConnect & Youth.

Bring a friend and join us in the youth room playing a variety of Board games and Video games.

Tuesday, August 13 – Cultus Lake Waterslides!   For iConnect & Youth.

10 am-5:30 pm. Meet at Church Office. Admission is $23.  Spending the day at the Cultus Lake Water Slides, WOOHOO! Pack a lunch or bring $$ to purchase it.

Thursday, August 15 – Movie Night - 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm   For iConnect & Youth.

Netflix and chill!

Monday, August 19 – Centennial Beach!   For iConnect & Youth.

11 am to 4 pm. Meet in front of the Church office.  Spending the Summer afternoon on the beach, what could be more relaxing? Bring a lunch!

Thursday, August 22 – Serving Downtown and Games Night with Summit Drive Youth

Time TBA.   For Youth only.

We will be joining the youth from Summit Drive Church for the day serving in the Downtown area!

Mon-Wed, Aug 26 to 28 - CAMPING @ Golden Ears!!   For Youth.

April 5 - Ice Night

Join us for an evening of icebreaker games and 10-foot ice cream sundaes.  Don't forget to bring your runners as we will be playing some games in the gym.

April 12 - Alive Night

The evening includes games, snacks, worship time with the Youth, and more!

April 19 - Good Friday

NO EVENT - enjoy Easter with your family!

April 26 - Canadian Stereotypes Night

Wear a jersey or something red and join us for Canadian themed games and food.  Bring a friend, eh!

May 5 - Amazing Race

For our last night of iConnect, join us for this popular annual event!  Work in teams ... will you be the winner?  Prizes to be won!

Dress your best and bring a dessert!  All movies made at "Make A Movie Night" will be shown as we enjoy a dessert potluck and hand out awards for Best Actor, Actress, Pictures, etc.

April 12 - Alive!

Join us for games, worship, a message, and small groups.

April 19 - Good Friday

NO EVENT - enjoy Easter with your family!

April 26 - Chapel Richmond at The Tapestry Church

Make sure you arrive on time - we leave Bethany at 6:30 pm.  Otherwise, meet us at The Tapestry Church (9280 No. 2 Road, Richmond) at 7:00 pm.  We will be back at Bethany by 10:00 pm for pickup.

May 3 - Maker Night!

Invite your friends and come put your creativeness to work.  We will have project options for you to choose from.

May 10 - Alive!

Join us for games, worship, a message, and small groups.  Grade 7's who have finished iConnect will be joining us at Youth!

May 17 to 20 - May Camp Retreat!  Registration Deadline is April 14!

Our annual Youth retreat to Green Bay Bible Camp for Grades 7 to 12.  Registration forms available in the Youth room or download & print from our church website (http://bethanybaptist.bc.ca/students/may-camp-2019)

May 24 - Youth Wrap-Up

This is a special night for our grades 8 to 12.  We will be recapping our year together, saying goodbye to our grade 12's, and sharing the love around.

June 2 - Grad Banquet

Sunday evening, June 2 will be the 51st annual Grad Banquet hosted by our Women's Ministry.  Everyone is invited, so come see our grads all dressed in their prom regalia, hear their stories, and enjoy a banquet dinner as we celebrate our graduating Class of 2019!

January 11 - Glow Games
We are joining the youth for this favourite annual event - wear something that glows and come play games under black lights! This is a great event to invite your friends to!

January 18 - Alive
Always includes group games and snacks, usually includes worship songs with the youth and small group discussion and hang out time.

January 25 - Game Show Night
Compete with your friends in Minute to Win It, Jeopardy and more!

February 1 - Alive
Always includes group games and snacks, usually includes worship songs with the youth and small group discussion and hang out time.

February 8 - Movie Night
Wear something comfy and bring a friend for a movie on our big screen - popcorn and drinks included! If you would like a candy bag, bring some change for the concession (proceeds go to the youth sponsor child, Mukire)

February 15 - Alive
Always includes group games and snacks, usually includes worship songs with the youth and small group discussion and hang out time.

February 22 - Art & Games Night
Choose between playing video and board games (use ours or bring your own) or making art projects at our arts and crafts stations.

March 1 - Photo Rally
Work in teams to complete a photo scavenger hunt! Bring a camera if you have one. Prizes for the winning team!

March 8 - Alive
Always includes group games and snacks, usually includes worship songs with the youth and small group discussion and hang out time.

March 15-16 - 30 Hour Famine
Watch for registration info in January for event for Grades 6-12. Participants fast for 30 hours and raise money for hungry kids - join us for this overnight event with lots of great games and activities.

Meet at the Queensborough Tim Horton’s for some snacks and drinks and hang out together! Bring your own money. Can’t find a ride? Contact Kelly and we will arrange some carpools. 805 Boyd St., New Westminster.

January 11th - GLOW GAMES 2019
Let’s light up 2019 with a Glow-in-the-Dark party!  Bring a friend and come to Youth wearing a white or neon shirt. The games will be lit! Ha ha.

January 18th - ALIVE!
Join us for games, singing with the Youth band, and planning for make a movie night.  Concession will be open from 6:50-7:10. Proceeds go towards our Compassion Canada Child.

January 25th - Make A Movie Night
Work in teams to make a movie in 2 hours! We will announce the teams and the 2019 theme during the previous week’s event. Then, edit the movies so we can show them and hand out awards at our Oscar Night!

February 1st - ALIVE!
Come for fun, friends and faith-building! There will be games, singing with the Youth band, a
short message and small groups. Concession will be open from 6:50-7:10. Proceeds go towards our Compassion Canada Child.

February 8th - Fear Factor!
In groups you will face and overcome your biggest fears! Mwahahahaaaaaa!

February 15th - ALIVE!
Come for fun, friends and faith-building! There will be games, singing with the Youth band, a short message and small groups. Concession will be open from 6:50-7:10. Proceeds go towards our Compassion Canada Child.

February 22nd - Chapel Richmond
If you need a ride, meet at the church by 6:25 pm so we can leave by 6:30 pm.

March 15/16th - 30-Hour Famine
Overnighter! - (7:00 pm-10:00 am) This is a sleepover event for Grades 6-12—we raise money for those without food, and fast for 30 hours to understand what it feels like. This event includes group games, competitions, and activity stations—another event you don’t want to miss! Grab a registration package in January to start fundraising—each student must raise a minimum of $50 to attend, and those who have raised the most will get to throw a pie on one of the leaders’ faces!

Spring Break - NO Friday events on March 22 & 29

September 14 - Bright Night kick off!

We are so excited to start another year of iConnect - join us for our neon-themed kick off party! Wear something bright or wacky, come have fun as we play neon games.

September 21 - Alive Night

Join us for get-to-know-you games and snacks.

September 28 - iConnect Olympics

Work in teams to create a country and compete for gold, silver or bronze in our Olympic Games!

October 5 - Alive

Join us for games, snacks and activities. Bring an "ID Bag" with 2-3 items that represent who you are so we can get to know each other better.

October 12 - Tie Dye Night

We are making tie dye t-shirts together! Shirts, dye, and gloves are provided - but wear old clothes just to be safe!

October 19 - Alive

Join us for games, snacks, and social time together.

October 26 - Costume Party

Bring a friend, wear a costume, and join us for lots of games and prizes, including prizes for the best costumes!

November 2 - No event

We are setting up for the Clue Game.

November 3 (Saturday) - Clue Game:  Quest for the Holy Grail

Join us for our biggest event of the year for Grades 6-12! We transform our whole building into a medieval village... visit the townspeople, complete tasks and earn clues to solve the mystery. This is an outreach event so invite all your friends! Work in teams of 3-5 people. $2 admission (includes coat check). Doors open 5:30pm, game starts at 6pm. Approximate end 9:45pm.

November 9 - Alive

Join us for games, discussion and of course, snacks.

November 16 - Birthday Night

Did you have a birthday this year? Then this party is for YOU! Join us for a great night filled with balloons, streamers, party games, cupcakes and more as we celebrate everyone's birthday in one epic night.

November 23 - Alive

Lots of games, snacks, and good times together.

November 30 - Christmas Morning on Friday Night

Wear your pyjamas, bring a friend or two, and join us for our annual Christmas party, complete with games, cookies and more.

We will be talking about the recent legalization of marijuana. Possibly a guest speaker.

October 26th - Chapel Richmond

Same info as Sept 28. Meet at Bethany by 6:40 pm if you need a ride. Back by 9:20 pm.

November 2 - No event

Location TBA.  Afterwards, we will come back to Bethany for a sleepover and Christmas morning when we wake up! Bring a wrapped Secret Santa present for under the tree (max $10 – get creative!).  Breakfast will be provided. Ends at 10:00 am Dec. 1st.
